Your body changes. With age, with the seasons, with stress, with hormones, with everything a day asks of it. And we tend to answer with loose fixes: something for the skin today, something for the hair tomorrow, something else again next month.
The Swedish Glow Method puts structure in place of that. Not by adding more, but by laying a fixed foundation first.
We call that foundation Grunden: 5 ml of liquid omega-3, every day. On top of it you choose one Fokus, the one that fits what your body needs right now. What you end up with is not a cabinet full of supplements but a clear rhythm, one that can move with you.
The discovery that put omega-3 on the scientific map
Much of the omega-3 story begins on the west coast of Greenland.
In the early 1970s, two Danish scientists, Hans Olaf Bang and Jørn Dyerberg, studied the diet and blood lipids of Greenlandic Inuit. Climate, location and the seasons left their traditional diet with little variation: it consisted largely of fish and other food from the sea.
In 1971, Bang, Dyerberg and Nielsen described the blood lipids of 130 Inuit and compared them with Danish groups. Among their findings were lower triglyceride levels. A follow-up study in 1975 showed clear differences in the fatty-acid composition of the blood, including higher levels of the long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA.
Those observations helped set an entire line of research into marine omega-3 in motion.
What the EU allows us to say about EPA and DHA
For EPA and DHA, clear health claims have been authorised:
- EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA.
- DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
- DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal vision. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
Those claims are worded precisely. Which also means we do not present omega-3 as a treatment, a medicine or a promise of a particular result.
Omega-3 is nutrition: a daily base within a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Grunden: one base that every Fokus rests on
Within The Swedish Glow Method, Grunden is the foundation.
FREJA is our liquid omega-3 from Norwegian fish, developed for daily use. One daily dose of 5 ml contains 350 mg of EPA and 500 mg of DHA, 850 mg of EPA and DHA in total. That is more per daily dose than the amounts at which the beneficial effects above are obtained.
The natural lemon flavour and the liquid form make it easy to turn omega-3 into a morning ritual. Take 5 ml a day, preferably in the morning with a meal.
Not as a short course, but as a calm daily base that the rest of the method is tuned to.
How The Swedish Glow Method works
1. Grunden — the daily foundation
You start with FREJA: 5 ml of liquid omega-3 a day. Grunden stays in place, even as your focus shifts through the year.
2. Fokus — one need at a time
On top of Grunden, you choose one focus area for 100 days, the one that answers what your body is asking for now:
- Hud, for the skin: Marine 13.000
- Hår, for the hair: Nordsilk
- Hormoner, for hormonal support: HÉRMADE
One focus at a time keeps the routine clear and makes it easier to take stock honestly.
3. Lyft — a temporary addition
When you want to add something extra to your routine for a while, there is Lyft: a shorter, more intensive effort on top of Grunden and your chosen Fokus.
Afterwards, you return to your fixed base.
Why we choose a daily ritual
A method only works if it fits into real life. That is why Grunden is deliberately small and concrete: one action a day, at a fixed moment.
Not waiting until you happen to remember, but tying the routine to something you already do, like breakfast.
Daily consistency gives you a reliable intake first of all. The 100-day rhythm of the Fokus adds a clear moment to pause and ask: what does my body need now?
That evaluation starts on day 80, so you don’t simply carry on out of habit but choose, consciously, what fits next.
A method for a body that changes
The Swedish Glow Method is not a collection of quick fixes. It brings order: the foundation first, then one targeted focus, and a temporary Lyft only when you want one.
That makes the routine simpler, more personal and easier to keep up.
Grunden stays. Your Fokus may change. Just as your body does.

Frequently asked questions about daily omega-3
What are EPA and DHA?
EPA and DHA are long-chain fatty acids from the omega-3 family, found in fish and fish oil among other sources. The EU has authorised specific health claims for EPA and DHA, provided the conditions of use are met.
Why is omega-3 the foundation of The Swedish Glow Method?
Because within the method, FREJA forms a simple daily base. On top of it you always choose one Fokus, the one that fits what your body is asking for at that moment.
How much FREJA do you take a day?
The recommended daily dose is 5 ml, preferably in the morning with a meal. Always follow the label and do not exceed the recommended dose.
How long do you use FREJA for?
Within the method, FREJA is meant as an ongoing daily base. At 5 ml a day, a 150 ml bottle lasts about 30 days.
Can a supplement replace a varied diet?
No. A food supplement is not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
